Senior BI Consultant
Do you want to help organizations make the most of their data? At VDS Automation, we are looking for a BI Consultant who takes responsibility for designing and implementing modern data solutions for our clients. You are the link between business and IT and translate the information needs of stakeholders into concrete, scalable solutions within the Microsoft platform.
With your knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure, you build scalable data architectures and dashboards that provide immediate insights and help clients achieve their objectives. You work on a variety of projects, such as setting up complete data platforms, modeling and unlocking data for reports, and where appropriate, developing solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate. You are responsible for your own projects and can see the results of your work directly with the client.
You work hybrid: partially remote, partially from our office in Leeuwarden, and partially on-site with clients. You are responsible for your own projects and your weekly planning. In your projects, you act as a sparring partner and advisor, and actively build solutions that really matter. You will find yourself in a small and close-knit team where we strengthen each other, share knowledge, and work together on smart solutions for our clients. Due to the short lines within the company and the focus on innovation, you have plenty of room to develop new ideas, technologies, and solutions.

What are you going to do?
In this versatile role, you will work on various projects for clients in the process and manufacturing industries, logistics, services, and other sectors. You:
Design and implement scalable data solutions within Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
Build and optimize data models, pipelines, and SQL queries that form the foundation for dashboards, analyses, and automation.
Advise organizations on their data architecture, BI strategy, and digitization.
Analyze business processes and translate them into concrete IT solutions.
Build solutions in Power Apps and Power Automate where necessary (preferable).
Collaborate closely with clients, developers, and project teams to deliver innovative, future-proof solutions.
Actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and stay up to date with the latest developments in data & cloud.
